In the time period between December 2010 and January 2011, Ford Figo, the sub compact car along with its manufacturer Ford India together was able to side 20 titles in Indian Auto industry. This has made the stunning car, the most awarded passenger car in the India.
The first award grabbed by the successful model Ford Figo is certainly 'Indian Car of the Year 2011' award which is one of the acme honour in the industry. Ford was able to grab the top position by bagging 'Car of the Year' titles along with prestigious title 'Manufacturer of the Year' from a leading, jointly held broadcast and print media house.
Ford Figo flaunts the most spacious boot in the segment but it will still not sufficient to carry all the trophies won by the car. The honours grabbed by the successful sub compact car is a collection from across the auto media industry which encircles broadcast, print and web-based sources.
Owing to this great recognition received by Ford Figo, all the media turned towards the model's best in class attributes, value for money package and fuel efficient technology leading to tremendous popularity for the brand and strong recognition and acknowledgement of the company.
Addressing the proud occasion, Mr Michael Boneham who is the President and Managing Director of Ford India commented that Ford Figa is a highly aspired model from company's portfolio which will bring round the table change for the company. He also said that model has outperformed the expectations and the company is glad that the consumers have a good range of choice in the auto market but their final decision and faith was in Ford Figo. He also stated that the major credit of the model's success goes to the end buyers who placed their precious faith in the company.

Ford Figo was able to bring many customers to the company's pavilion and 40% of them, were first time buyers. Ford Figo also gained a great response and admiration through the social networking websites. The fact is evident from the surveys conducted by many well-known automotive blogs and websites.
Since the month of March the company has sold a total of 60,000 units of Ford Figo and a striking annual sales increase of 184 percent is registered against that of the year 2009. The success of the company is also seen with its models like Ford Fiesta, Ford Ikon and the Ford Endeavour which are performing pretty well in the respective segments. And in the year 2010, the company was able to sell a total of 83,887 units and increase sales three folds against a total of 29,488 cars sold in 2009.
Boneham also said that the company is delighted to launch this successful model in India. He said that the holders of Ford Figo will surely be proud to hold this model and company will surely cross its targets for the year 2011.
