Tata Motors initiated a novel concept of 'Tata Nano Superdrive', a contest for all, on June 2nd'2010, when the much awaited launch of Nano's Sanand plant in Gujarat took place.  In order to celebrate the Clear certificate awarded to Nano after a detailed investigation and the mega launch of Sanand plant, the company organized this 15,000 km country-wide Nano Superdrive that reached Delhi on 13th June'2010.

The ‘Superdrive’ branded Tata Nanos were absolute traffic-stoppers as they visited prominent landmarks like Qutab Minar, Jain Mandir and Safdarganj Tomb in the city. Citizens at these landmarks greeted the people’s car with immense excitement. Shoppers at the Ambience mall enjoyed an up-close experience with the Nano and its unique features, besides games related to the car.

Also, a celebration ceremony at Hyatt Regency for Nano owners in the city was organised to celebrate the car’s first year. The Nano Superdrive is testament to the Nano’s robustness and reliability. The Nano Superdrive will leave the city today with a flag off ceremony, at the company’s dealership, A-One, and will proceed to the next destination, Meerut.

The drive will touch 6 cities and, after a month, will conclude in Mumbai on June 28, 2010. As of now nine Tata Nanos are circumnavigating India on three different routes on an enchanting 26 day long voyage, visiting 36 cities, covering an incredible distance of 15,000 Kilometers. Each route has been christened after our tri-coloured national flag namely ‘The Saffron Route’, ‘The White Route’ and ‘The Green Route’ keeping with the theme of the country-wide drive. Tata Motors has specially festooned each Nano with a theme and these 9 Nanos will travel through diverse terrain, covering the length and breadth of the country. Prospective customers, who participated in an online contest, have been given an opportunity to drive on select routes.
