Toyota launches facelifted Fortuner in Indonesia

Few days back, India-bound Toyota Innova facelift was launched in the Indonesian market, which is expected to hit the Indian shores by the end of this month or by early October. Now, the Japanese automaker has launched the mid-life facelift version of the Fortuner in Indonesia. Moreover, the company also introduced a refreshed TRD Sportivo kit for the SUV. The regular Toyota Fortuner now sports a couple of LED strips, which act as daytime running lights. However, the TRD Sportivo edition gets more tweaks than the regular one.
The facelifted Fortuner gets a chrome grille and the TRD Sportivo sports a black colored grille. The bumpers of the SUV now has skirts and the restyled alloy wheels are also added, making it look more aggressive than ever. The cabin of the Fortuner gets a new entertainment system with a DVD player. The facelifted Fortuner continuous to derive its power from a 2.7-litre petrol and 2.5-litre diesel engine.
The vehicle is available with two transmissions - a five speed manual and a four speed automatic. However, for the Indian buyers, the Toyota Fortuner is powered by a more powerful 3.0-litre diesel engine, which is mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. There is now petrol model of Fortuner available in India. The revamped Fortuner is priced at 396 million Rupiah (approximately Rs. 24 lakhs) for the base model and goes up to 478.55 million Rupiah (approximately Rs. 29 lakh). For Indian buyers, it is quite early that the facelifted Fortuner will make its way as the new Fortuner is in making and will be launched by the end of 2015.
