Volvo XC60 wins ‘Import SUV of the Year' Award

Volvo XC60 is winning accolades in India since its launch last year. Another feather is added in its cap as it has been awarded with the “Import SUV of the Year” award by the most reputed Car India Awards 2011. In Mumbai today (18 January, 2011) Paul de Voijs, the Managing Director, Volvo Auto India accepted the award on behalf of the company for its crossover SUV.

Volvo XC60 comes with a price tag of Rs 39,50,000 and sports excellent performance, latest generation D5 Twin-Turbo diesel powertrain. It is the only SUV which is powered with innovative technology like the Turn with Steering Lights (Active Bending Lights), Continuously Controlled Chassis Concept (FOUR-C), Power Tailgate, Laser Assisted Automatic Braking (City Safety), Haldex AWD (All Wheel Drive) with Instant Traction TM and more.

Mr de Voijs was extremely elated and said that the company is extremely proud to be awarded with Import SUV of the Year. This award rightly states the company's efforts to bring in a super stylish, smart, powerful and technologically advanced SUV in India. He also added that Volvo XC60 has been very well accepted by the country. He further said that the award has further cemented its position in India and has added another proud moment for the company to enjoy.
