Honda India registers a growth of 26.38 per cent in December, 2010

Honda India, is rejoicing this new year by recording a growth of 26.38 per cent in December, 2010. Honda Siel Cars India Ltd., (HSCIL), the Indian counterpart of the Japanese auto maker Honda, in December, 2010 sold 5,135 cars over last year's 4,063 cars sold in December.

Honda India released the report of its December, 2010 sales wherein The Honda City sedan reported the highest sale of 4,380 cars, the hatchback Honda Jazz recorded a sales of 269 cars, the premium class sedan Honda Civic registered a sales of 275 cars and the savvy SUV Honda CR-V 26 car models were sold in the domestic auto market.

In 2011, the auto giants are also working towards launching its first small car Honda Brio to please its Indian buyers. It is expected that the company will bring in the small car by the last quarter pf 2011. The small new car is anticipated to be priced below Rs 5 lakh. The Honda Brio will be competing against Fiat Punto, Maruti Swift, Volkswagen Polo, Ford Figo, Chevrolet Beat and Nissan Micra. Honda Brio is a new attempt from the Japanese auto giant to capture the growth in the small car market of Indian. The small car was first showcased in the New Delhi Expo last year and gained applaud for its outstanding features and looks. The small car is developed in keeping the minds of the Indian car buyers. Honda Brio comes with excellent fuel economy, better ground clearance and is studded with great looks which is sure to win the hearts of car admirers in India. As per the company sources the small car is expected to be rolling out by 2011.

Currently, looking at the HSCIL's range of cars it sell five cars in the domestic auto market which includes Honda Jazz, Honda City, Honda Civic, Honda Accord and Honda CR-V.
