Jaguar Land Rover Needs Major Cost Cuts says Ratan Tata

Jaguar Land Rover needs cost reduction and reduction of development and productionising time. JLR is planning to have all its future cars constructed with light-weight aluminium bodies to reduce weight and cut CO2 emissions.
Tata Motors has also hired KPMG International and Roland Berger Strategy Consultants to reduce costs and increase cash flow. In India, the passenger car market has remained more or less flat compared to the previous year. According to the reports, stringent emission norms and safety regulations may bring new complexities and cost increases for automotive industry, impacting the company's business.
