Japanese car makers witnessed slash in production in March

It seems the drastic effects of the natural calamity in Japan last month will take more time to recover from its worst effects. It has been reported that the premier auto manufacturing companies of Japan mainly Toyota, Nissan and Honda have reported the heavy decline in their home production. According to the sources the natural calamity has very badly hindered the domestic production within the country and has raised the lines of tension.

Toyota, in its reports has addressed that there is huge decline in its production capacity in its manufacturing plants located in Japan. During the month of March 2011 its production as compared to month of March during last year declined to 62.7 percent, the domestic production came down to 129,491 units whereas the supply of its vehicles in the global market also declined to 542,465 vehicles per annum resulting the decline of 29.9 percent. The other two plants of Toyota at Daihatsu and Hino are also reported to going through the same decline. The other major automobile company of Japan Nissan also reported that due to explosive effects of natural calamity and the overtaking of subsidy programme on the eco-friendly vehicles by the Japanese government its production also came down to 52.4 percent during the month of March as compared to last year.

The same report has been presented by another leading auto manufacturing company of Japan the Honda Motors. The reports presented by Honda states that its domestic production declined to 62.9 percent in March as compared to the previous year.  It is also reported that one more automobile company of Japan Mazda has declared the decline of 53.6 percent in its domestic production and decline of 33.8 percent decline in its global supply.
