Tata subsidiary JLR to go on a one year Pay freeze

Jaguar Land Rover The UK based subsidiary of Tata Motors has decided to go on a one year pay freeze for its employees because of tough market conditions and global credit crunch. Now the employees of JLR have to work on a for-day week basis to sustain their jobs which are under threat after the global economic meltdown. According to the agreement between company and employees the freeze in jobs will came into effect immediately and the salaries will be frozen till year 2010. Until then there will be a four days a week work at the plants of the company. The subsidiary of Tata Motors has currently has around 2400 employees who will suffer from this Pay freeze.
