Tatat Motors new MD PM Telang, Ravi retired

Tata Motors new Managing Director is announced since the post is to vacant due to retirement of present MD Mr Ravi Kant. The new MD PM Telang will take charge on June 1. On the same day, Mr Ravi will retire as per the company rule. The Board of Directors of the Company has decided to retain Mr. Ravi Kant on the Board as the Non-Executive Vice-Chairman of the company. The Board has also decided to elevate Mr. Prakash M. Telang, the current Executive Director (Commercial Vehicles), as the Managing Director – India operations effective June 2, 2009. Tata Motors is India's largest automobile company, with revenues of US$ 8.8 billion in 2007-08.
