Toyota says it was not possible to grasp details of complaints

Toyota Motor Corp, the worlds largest automobile manufacturer was not able to analyze well specific details of complaints about its vehicles, said the chief technology officer of Toyota Motors on Friday in a bid to explain the failures that led to this biggest ever safety crisis.

The company is also planning to review its process of research and development and for this it has set up a special RD team to beef up road tests as told by technology chief Takeshi Uchiyamada at the auto maker's headquarters in Toyota City.

Mr Uchiyamada added that the Toyota brand is in deep crisis after the biggest ever safety recalls by the company. Besides this the North American chief of the Toyota Motors, Yoshimi Inaba said that the Toyota Motors had not been able to dispel worries about quality during a series of US congressional hearings,

Toyota's North American chief Yoshimi Inaba said the automaker had not been able to dispel concerns about quality during a series of US congressional hearings, while Toyota president Akio Toyoda said that the company had often just assumed a mantle of success but it would now have to abandon that stance.
