Small SUV
I saw the Jeep Compass at a nearby dealership today. It is smaller than what it looks in the images. The Tucson, in comparison, looks wider. Sit inside and the quality of the materials used is good. The space is also decent and two six-feet tall guys can sit one behind the other. But it doesn't look as wide as you think it will be. From the driver's seat, it feels as if you're sitting in a vehicle of Creta's size. After sitting in the Compressed, sorry Compass, I felt that the starting price of around Rs 15 lakh is fair, and not very aggressive. Also, considering the reliability issues with the brand in most other markets, even if you are saving some money upfront, it'll be used up on the SUV only, and may not count as savings. There were a lot of people out there to check the Compass in the dealership and it looks like it will sell in good numbers. But I think I'll wait to see how Jeep fares in the after-sales department. I'm not sure if they'll be able to manage it.

- Compass 2021Mileage spoils the experience, otherwise the car is pretty good. The driving experience is great. Although seems to lose control when driving a little faster. Love the interior, a comfortable 6/10Read MoreWas this review helpful?YesNo
- Worst VehicleI purchased the new Jeep in 2019. Upon driving the car, Initially, the clutch got malfunctioned at a vehicle run of approx 2000 kms. Now again at a KMs run of 12500, it again burnt. I am very disappointed and shocked by what happened and I find the situation very irritating. New cars simply don't do that. While I do understand that manufacturing errors can happen, still I can't comprehend the fact that the car was not tested before handover. Also, twice it happens. Really Not expected a Company like - JEEP. This is not the type of product I would have expected from a manufacturer of your size and reputation.Read MoreWas this review helpful?YesNo
- Low Quality Parts Used In The CarIn Dec'19 I had purchased Jeep Compass limited plus petrol version, within few months driving seat panel got out, given 3 time replacement but still same issue is there no improvement at all. At the time of 6 month free checkup they have not told there is any issue in the car but at the time of one year servicing, now they are saying there is issue in the battery which need to be replaced. unfortunately i gave car after completion of one year for servicing so they are saying you will not get the battery free, you have to pay for it. Don't know what kind of 3 year warranty they are telling us. Also, they told me there is an issue with ABS sensor which we will replace under warranty. Now my question is such type of issues are coming in just one year? What is the value of the brand? Don't know whether they are doing proper testing or not. Most noticeable thing is, almost all Jeep customers are facing same type of issue but still no proper solution support from Jeep instead they are asking money for the part nothing else.Read MoreWas this review helpful?YesNo

- Repeated Clutch Failure Not Covered Under WarrantyI bought the vehicle in 2018 April. Driven 35k km. Clutch changed twice not covered under warranty. Even Jeep accepts that their clutch is not durable. So if you are ready to pay for a clutch every 20000 km you can buy it. Another issue I had was fuel line leaks with 25000 km. Couldn't find a solution by Jeep. Changed entire assembly. Cost 1.6 lakh, fortunately under warranty. Battery life lost only for a year again with 15000 km. So it's going to be repeated problem giving vehicle and ready to spend a lot more money if you are buying Jeep compass.Read MoreWas this review helpful?YesNo
