Price: The Mercedes-Benz GLC is priced from Rs 74.45 lakh to Rs 75.45 lakh (ex-showroom pan India).
Variants: It is available in two variants: GLC 300 4MATIC and GLC 220d 4MATIC.
Seating Capacity: The GLC is a 5-seater SUV.
Engine and Transmission: The GLC uses 2-litre petrol and diesel engines with mild-hybrid technology, coupled with a 9-speed automatic transmission. The petrol unit develops 258 PS and 400 Nm, while the diesel engine is rated at 197 PS and 440 Nm. Both petrol and diesel units are being offered with Mercedes’ 4MATIC all-wheel drive (AWD) as standard. The petrol engine claims a fuel efficiency of 14.7 kmpl, while the diesel one delivers 19.4 kmpl.
Features: The Mercedes-Benz GLC boasts a portrait-style 11.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, a panoramic sunroof, heated and powered front seats, dual-zone AC, and 64-colour ambient lighting.
Safety: In terms of safety, it gets seven airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system, a 360-degree camera, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) features like active brake assist, active lane-keep assist, blind spot assist, and active parking assistant (optional).
Rivals: The GLC rivals the Audi Q5, BMW X3 and Volvo XC60.
