Latest Update: BMW has globally unveiled the 2024 M5.

Launch: It is expected to go on sale in India by March 2025.

Price: The new BMW M5 is likely to be priced at Rs 2 crore (ex-showroom).

Engine and Transmission: The BMW M5 gets a 4.4-litre V8 turbo-petrol engine with a plug-in hybrid powertrain that generates 727 PS and 1,000 Nm (combined). It is paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The plug-in hybrid motor in the BMW M5 is powered by an 18.6 kWh lithium-ion battery pack capable of 7.4 kW AC charging. The plug-in hybrid setup has a WLTP-rated electric-only range of up to 69 km.

Features: It has a curved display that integrates both the infotainment system and the fully digital instrument cluster. It also has a heads-up display as standard equipment. It also has electrically adjustable sports seats with heating and ventilation. Furthermore, it includes a panoramic sunroof, a wireless phone charger, and connected car technology.

Safety: Safety features on the BMW M5 include 8 airbags, crash sensors, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), as well as an advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) suite that includes front collision warning, lane departure warning with steering assistance, and driver attentiveness assistant.
