Chevrolet Beat comes with two engine options; the petrol variant is equipped with 1.2-litre petrol engine with a displacement of 1197cc fitted with a light weight DOHC (dual overhead cam shaft) which reduces friction, offers clear emission and optimum performance. It has an inline 4 Cylinders setup with 4 valve cylinder head, which makes it to produce peak power output of 79bhp at 6200rpm with 108Nm of maximum torque at 4400rpm. While, Chevrolet Beat Diesel is equipped with 1 Litre XSDE SMARTECH 3-cylinder Common Rail Diesel engine, which produces a maximum power output of 57.5bhp at 4000rpm and a maximum torque of 150Nm at1750rpm. The diesel engine of the car comes with fixed geometry turbocharger with a common rail injection which makes it powerful and fuel efficient. All the variants of Chevrolet Beat come mated to a 5 Speed manual gearbox.
