Another small car to come up in June

A West Bengal based automobile company is all set to launch a small car by June this year. Its Ural India which is prepared to launch the car with a Russian firm. The small car would be priced around Rs 1.6 lakh. Ural India has also tied up with China's First Automobile Works (FAW) to set up a Rs 1,500-crore automobile manufacturing unit in Bengal.  On the other hand, the comapany is also planning to manufacture buses and trucks as well. The company is planning to organise road shows to feel the pulse of prospective buyers. Interestingly, the state government also has a stake in the company. They would produce buses and trucks as well. The company would be producing two small cars by assembling parts at their Haldia factory for the road shows. The tyres, gears and engine would be produced locally, though the mould and metal sheet will be imported. The company is planning to launch both AC and non-AC models and there would be options for switching over to LPG models as well.
