After the great show put up by the first Indian Grand Prix Formula 1 race, it is the Buddh International Circuit that has received the majority of the limelight. The race drivers and the spectators alike have been singing praises of the race track with the stature to hold the international racing event quite efficiently. The ‘MotorSport Facility of the Year’ award further establishes the fact that the racetrack is worth every accolade given to it. Boris Lazarec, COO of the Construction department of Jaypee Sports International, received the award.

The JPSI is the construction company, which has built the world class racetrack surpassing not just the Indian racing fans, but also many international sportsmen. Upon the felicitation, Manoj Gaur, the Chairman of JPSI had expressed his happiness saying that this is the most cherished moment for them and it makes more worthwhile because of the recognition they have received on their efforts. He had been generous enough to pass on the share of success to every member of the team who have contributed to make the dream come true.

On the downside, Garry Anderson of PMW Auto Expo had said that the race track does meet up to the high standards of the international circuits overall, but falls short of the professional standards just as yet in terms of the actual circuit design. However, on a positive note, he said that with the inputs and more events next on the cards, it will flourish and be there subsequently. Unlike many glamorous circuits across the world, like the one in Abu Dhabi and Valencia built with the scenic background of the marine, the Buddh International circuit has been built with the standards and potential to drive the international sports events with utmost ease.
