GM to make drive in Cadillac

General Motors India (GMI) are now decisive to launch the new range of cadillac luxury cars in India. While on the other hand it has came to the notice that the US auto manufacturers in the luxury cars segment have come upon with the concepts of a multi-purpose vehicle. According to the president and managing director of the company Mr. Karl Slym General Motors have very ambitious plans to launch a SUV Hummer car. All this will change the choice of consumers in this category of cars. So a change have been made in the Cadillac CTS sedan. It is expected the Cadillac CTS is going to compete with the cars like Mercedes Benz, Audi and even BMW. All these three car companies sell nearly 6,000 annually in our country. Cadillac car which earlier showed a comeback of 3.6-litre direct injection V-6 VVT engine is capable of delivering a power of 311 bhp. The modified version of the car has wheels of 18-inchs and expected to cost nearly Rs.50-60 lakh. The launch of General Motors Cruise sedan has already came into existance expected to strike the market in June-July of this year. Rumours regarding the Cruise Sedan have came as it is going to compete with Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla and Hyundai Sonata all in the list of premium cars. General Motors is also planning to launch a vehicle in the small car segment. At present General Motors is available in the market with nearly seven different car models. These different car models are available in different price ranges starting from Rs.2.59 lakh that being of Chevrolet Spark to the range of Rs.20-30 lakh that being for Chevrolet Captiva. Moreover the company officials also believes that they are thinking to launch few more models in the  range of CNG and LPG vehicles. It has come to the notice that Optra sedan has already been launched with modification of CNG version and are deserving to launch a LPG version vehicle very soon. The automatic transmission variants of the various vehicle types had already been launched by the company. One such modification has been made for the SUV vehicle of the  car that being priced at Rs.20.3 lakh (the ex-showroom price).
