Honda, Tata and Mahindra cars to cost more from April
The challenging market conditions are pushing leading car manufacturers like Honda, Tata and Mahindra Mahindra to increase prices of their models from this April. Out of these, the Tata Motors said it may increase prices of passenger vehicles by 1 to 2 percent.
While, commenting over this, Pravin Shah, Mahindra Mahindra Chief Executive said, “We are actively contemplating increasing the prices of our vehicles in April due to increase in input and operational costs.” However, the company hasn't decided upon the increase rate. He added saying, “ We have not yet taken a final decision on the quantum and timing but this a matter we are seriously considering right now. It will happen for sure in April”.
On the other hand, Honda India is too seeking to increase prices in order to compensate the losses faced in the near past. After the reduction of excise duty, Honda Cars India went on cutting down prices by Rs 44,741, but now these cars will see price rise from next month.
