Hyundai clocks highest ever domestic sales
Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL), the country's second largest car manufacturer and the largest passenger car exporter registered highest ever domestic sales growing by 12.8% over the same month last year. Domestic sales in February were 36,805 units (32,629 units), exports were 15,050 units (19,378 units) registering a decline of 22.3% and aggregate sales were 51,855 units (52,007 units) dipped by 0.3%.

Commenting on the February sales, Mr Arvind Saxena, Director - Marketing and Sales, HMIL said, “Even in the tough market situation Eon sales have helped us to achieve the highest ever domestic sales.” The segment-wise cumulative sales for February 2012 are: A2 segment 45,124 units (Eon, Santro, i10, i20); A3 Segment 6,584 units (Accent and Verna) and Santa Fe (SUV) 147 units.
