Lowering the component weight was a difficult task for Tata AutoComp. The team at Tata AutoComp systems developed various components for the first time keeping the cost superior quality and performance parameters in mind. These all things helped the company to keep the Nano car price at low cost. Tata AutoComp Systems COO RS Thakur said in a release that their team had been working closely with Tata Motors right since the inception of the project to design and engineer various components. Thakur faced several challenges including to lead a lot of innovation.
