Maruti Baleno remains the only premium hatchback on the list to cross the 1 lakh sales mark
In fiscal year 2025(FY25), premium hatchback sales in India showed diminishing buyers’ interest in this segment, with sales dropping by as much as 50 percent. Interestingly, subcompact and micro-SUVs which share a similar price range are now preferred more than these premium hatchbacks. Currently, there are four premium hatchbacks in the Indian market.
