Maruti to display 17 car models including Maruti Eeco

Maruti Suzuki, the largest auto maker in India, has big plans for Delhi Auto Expo 2010. According to media reports, the company will display around 17 car models including Maruti Eeco at the show. Out of 17 car models display, there would be some new launches for India as well. The cars which are sure to be launched are Maruti SX4 and Suzuki Kizashi. The Suzuki Kizashi, one of the best car model of Maruti's parent company Suzuki, is a flagship model in the D-segment. Kizashi is a term used in Japanese language that means a sign of great things to come. The flagship model of D-segment comes loaded with a 2.4 litre VVT petrol mill along with six-speed manual transmission. The mill of the car belts out a maximum power of 131kw at 6500 rpm. The Indian arm of Japanese firm Suzuki will launch Maruti SX4 at the show as well. The hatchback version of Maruti SX4 is very popular in European markets and is available there in 2.0, 1.6 and 1.5 litre petrol engine options but here the 2.0 litre car will be brought for display.
Maruti is Maruti Eeco - a new multi-purpose vehicle. The company claimed it as a replacement of the Maruti Versa which was a big failure of the company. The Maruti Eeco comes loaded with a 1.2 litre petrol engine. The MUV can accommodate five and seven passenger in different variants. The car might be priced at Rs 3 to 3.5 lakh whereas the Maruti Versa had a price tag of Rs 3.5 lakh. The company hopes to sell around 40K units of Maruti Eeco in India per year. Volkswagen Polo, a family car from Volkswagen, is also going to be launched at Delhi Auto Expo.
