Government is going to implement new emission norms (Bharat stage-IV) in India soon. The Bharat Stage-IV will be implemented by mid of year 2010. By the announcement of future implementation of these new norms  many companies feeling pressure of making their already manufactured models up to these norms. Car manufacturers have to upgrade their old models and this is not going to be easy for car manufacturers.

Many car manufacturers like Maruti and Hyundai has manufactured a large number of vehicles and to upgrade them these companies have to upgrade engine systems and this could cost up to 30,000 per vehicle. To upgrade these engines a lot of changes required. Government implemented Emission norms about one decade ago and since then the government has implemented Bharat stage I,II and III and now Bharat stageIV is all set to implement.
