Honda Cars India has officially announced that the next generation 2014 Honda City will have its global premiere on November 25th in India. The Japanese automaker send us an invite stating " The global unveiling of an iconic model which has redefined automotive design and technology". However, the company hasn't released any image of the next generation City.
We were the first one who revealed that Honda dealers have already started taking pre-orders for the 2014 City sedan. The iconic model will be showcased at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo, and the deliveries are expected to commence after the event.
The all-new Honda City is likely to be available in six to eight variants with both the petrol and diesel engine options. While the petrol model will get the current 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine, the diesel variants will get the country's most fuel efficient 1.5-litre i-DTEC, that also powers the Honda Amaze. The diesel engine will be tuned to bring down the NVH level of the car.
The next City is based on the new Jazz platform, and is expected to get an entirely new look. The vehicle will feature bigger wrap around clear lens headlamps with projector lights, new LED tail lamps, prominent creases on both sides and few others, making it look more sportier than ever.
