New Platform for Land Rover

The leading car manufacturer of India the Tata Motors is highly ambitious to develop a new platform for the manufacture of defence vehicles and the vehicles for the peace purpose. With the development of this platform  the company is expecting to bring some nice future responses in terms of its sales and profits. It has come to the knowledge that the company is going to have possessions of the UK based Land Rover, a heavy duty vehicle with 4*4 platform. Besides Tata, Land Rover also provides light vehicles for the defence purposes whole around the globe. The company is providing these vehicles since 60 years for the defence purposes and for peaceful purposes. The military version of the vehicle is based on the civilian version, with the similar type of basic chassis, the similar powertrain, the same powerful axles and the hard bodywork. With the acquisition of Land Rover the Tata group of motors want to win defence contracts from Europe, China, Russia and India, in the best possible way. Tata motors has been providing defence vehicles since fifty years to Indian military and paramilitary forces. Vehicles provided to the army mostly comprises of armoured trucks. To expand its offerings the company presented its Tata Light Speciality Vehicle (TLSV), at an defence expo and that too very early this year. Moreover the company also produces Light Armoured Troop Carrier (LATC) with Remote Controlled Weapon Station (RCWS) mainly designed for the easy movement of troops and evenly produces the Safari SUV which is a armoured vehicle for the Army.
