The new Maruti Swift was launched on Wednesday, the 17th of August, amidst a major hype received by the most-anticipated hatchback to set new benchmarks in the hatchback segment of the cars. Mr Mayank Pareek, the managing executive officer of marketing, Maruti Suzuki India, expressed his views on the new Maruti Swift success, saying that the impending festival season in September is likely to boost the new Swift sales, however there are negative factors like high interest rates and the fuel prices that they need to consider. He has added that the company is flooding with bookings prior to its launch reaching 50,000, which is further pushing the wait period for the vehicles to five to six months. The Maruti Suzuki India is apparently facing the supply constraints due to its overwhelming demand. However, the company intends to ramp up its production capacity based on the demand.
