Season of new cars we guess! Volkswagen is all set and prepared to launch new Volkswagen Jetta on 17th August 2011 in Mumbai, India. There were quite a many speculations regarding the new Volkswagen Jetta price, but Volkswagen India has still managed to keep it under the hood. The price of this new car will only be revealed tomorrow at its launch. The promotional measures have been done for the new Volkswagen Jetta just as it was done for the new Volkswagen Passat. So it could be assumed that the new Volkswagen Jetta will surely give its competitors a very hard time.

Apparently, this new variant of Volkswagen Jetta will come with the same engine, but it is expected that performance wise, it would be much higher and better than the current model. The new Volkswagen Jetta will be available in 2 variants; one will be a low cost version, which will come with slightly mediocre design, whereas the other variant will be super luxurious and high in interiors. The higher version is targeted for the Indian as well as European Market.

As far as the new Volkswagen Jetta specifications are concerned, the new Volkswagen Jetta will come with 2 litre four cylinder common rail diesel motor, which keeps the capacity of churning out the maximum power of 140 PS at the rate of 4200 RPM along with 320 Nm of torque. The features of the new Volkswagen Jetta are stunning, as it comes with 6 speed manual gearbox, climate control with AC vents, a mobile interface with an adapter cable for iPhone or iPod. There are also electrically adjustable external mirrors, rear, front and side air bags in the new Volkswagen Jetta. However, tomorrow is going to be a big day for the Indian car market, as tomorrow Maruti India is all set to launch the new Maruti Swift. Potential rivals of Volkswagen Jetta comprise of Toyota Corolla, Skoda Laura and Chevrolet Cruze.
