Most automakers based out of India have announced the price hike on their models due to rising input costs and currency fluctuation, now the latest to join the league is the Japanese auto maker Nissan's Indian arm. Nissan has today officially announced its plans to increase prices of all its models w.e.f. January 01,2013. Before Nissan, Maruti Suzuki India, General Motors, Audi and Mercedes-Benz announced it.
Nissan currently has a total 6 models in its Indian line-up, out of which Micra, Sunny and Evalia are locally produced, while Teana, X-Trail and 370Z are brought via CBU route. And like CarDekho earlier reported, the company is planning to launch the automatic version of its flagship sedan hatchback, and Nissan's version of Duster next year.
Nissan India is also working on a facelift of its hatchback Micra, and if speculations are to believed, there will be a cheaper version of the Micra in India to attract first-time car buyers.
Stay tuned to CarDekho for more updates on the same. Cheers!
