The second edition of the Red Bull Racing Can is back and is set to zip across the corridors of various colleges. This competition challenges engineers and petrol-heads who can participate by constructing their own remote control cars and play the pit crew as well as a racer. It’s a worldwide event where 24 teams will compete per location on a set course with the custom remote control cars.
These cars will be based on the same chassis, and the body, aerodynamics and the particular designs is what will make the difference. The body, aerodynamic features and design are to be made of the Red Bull cans. One needs to accelerate and navigate the car though the racing cars and maneuver across the track to reach the title of the Red Bull Racing Can Champion.
The event is starting, 21st September in Pune from where it will travel to Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kolkata. The national final will take place in October in Mumbai. Points will be awarded basis the creativity used and the designs. The points could also determine the starting position on the grid for the team. And the winning team will represent India in the global finals which will be held during the Brazilian Grand Prix, at Sao Paulo.
