The super luxury car maker, Rolls-Royce is all set to introduce the special wedding editions of its flagship salons in India- the Ghost and the Phantom, to lure India's super-rich class. What has inspired RR to come up with the decision is the inspiring fact that every 10th car sold by the giant in India is gifted majorly during the wedding season. Rolls-Royce has launched a purposely hand-crafted model for the occasion.
Speaking about the same, Herfriend Hasenoehrl, GM, emerging markets-Asia told ET that the wedding edition is a car brought on customers’ requests."The wedding season begins on October 30. Requests have started coming in and there are two couples right now who are talking to our dealers about giving personal touches to the cars they want."
He also said that except choosing the colours and veneers, customers are also given the facility to have their name engraved in specific places within the interiors. Rolls-Royce that sold 100 units in 2011, expects to take the number to 150 in 2012 in India, so showing the confidence in India, Hasenoehrl said, "India has the potential to be the largest market in Asia Pacific by 2015 from its current number three position,"
Stay tuned for more updates on the same. Cheers!
