Sachin Tendulkar had recently announced his retirement from cricket. Sachin Tendulkar gets another Formula 1 connect this time, as Force India cars will carry the #MasterBlaster on their livery as a tribute to the legendary Indian opening batsmen at the 16th round of 2013 Formula 1 at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida, India.
Sachin has had connections with Formula 1 in the past as well, as he had driven a Ferrari F1 car during the Schumacher era. Post that, the Mumbaikar had also waved the chequered flag for the first Indian Grand Prix that was held a couple of years ago.
To mark this event, Force India has ensured that they give the legend the respect he deserves in this own country and what could have been a better platform than the Indian Grand Prix that happens on this weekend. Force India began its journey as a team in 2008, when Vijay Mallya bought the team from Spyker F1. The Jordan Toyota, Midlands F1 and Spyker F1 were at the bottom of the points scoring sheet from 2005-08 championships and they changed several hands, until Force India came into picture, and now the same team but with a different name is competing in the mid-field. Adrian Sutil and Paul di Resta are their two current drivers who will be racing at the Buddh International Circuit on this weekend.
