­MICHAEL NAGAR NETAJI SANGHA and DURBAR MAHILA SAMANWAYA COMMITTEE book their berths in the finals

The third day of the second season of Yamaha ASEAN Cup U-13 Football saw some exciting action as the two semi finals were held at the Mohammedan Sporting Club here in Kolkata. In the first semi final, Michael Nagar Netaji Sangha took on  Santosh Club (Belgharia) while in the second semi final match, Durbar Mahila Samanwaya Committee was pitched against Samannoy (Kasba).

In the first match, MICHAEL NAGAR NETAJI SANGHA defeated SANTOSH CLUB (BELGHARIA)  by 11-10 and advanced to the finals. The Result decided in penalty shootouts.  Kartik Kumar Dutto (Team Santosh Club (Belgharia)) who was adjudged the Best Player of the match.

In the second match, DURBAR MAHILA SAMANWAYA COMMITTEE  became the winner after crashing SAMANNOY (KASBA)  by 1-0  and Palash Ghosh (Team Durbar Mahila Samanwaya Committee) was declared the Best Player of the match.

Both MICHAEL NAGAR NETAJI SANGHA  and DURBAR MAHILA SAMANWAYA COMMITTEE  will compete against each other during the final match to be held on 20th may, 2012.

Yamaha is organizing the second edition of the tournament in association with The Indian Football Association (West Bengal).  The tournament will be held from May 16 to 20, 2012 and will witness participation from budding football enthusiast from West Bengal.

The Tournament winner will be representing India at the fourth Yamaha ASEAN Cup U-13 Football Finals to be held in Malaysia from July 13, 2012 to July 15, 2012.  The participants will comprise of 6 teams from 5 Asian countries namely- India, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam & Malaysia (x2 teams).
