SsangYong XLV concept to debut at Geneva Motor Show
South Korean automaker SsangYong will unveil its new XLV concept at the 2014 Geneva International Motor Show in March. The XLV is a B-segment SUV concept featuring significantly lower CO2 emissions thanks to its mild hybrid system which combines a 1.6-litre diesel engine with an electric motor powered by a lithium ion battery.
The XLV concept measures 4,430mm in length, 1845mm in width and 1,600mm in height, making it 290mm longer than the XIV-1 concept. With a larger wheelbase of 2,600mm, the concept accommodate seven passengers in an innovative 2+2+2+2 arrangement, where the seventh seat slides between the second and third rows for optimum flexibility.
Showcasing SsangYong's new design philosophy ‘Nature born 3 motion', this latest concept projects a rhythmical and dynamic exterior design and is aimed at appealing to the smart user who is active and seeks individuality and practicality.
