Tata Motors sold 51,184 units in March
The home-grown auto manufacturer Tata Motors retailed a total of 51,184 vehicles (including exports) for the month of March among which the domestic sales for commercial and passenger vehicles were 45,996 units. For the fiscal year the cumulative sales were 5,66,695 units.
In the passenger vehicle segment for the last month of fiscal year, the manufacturer managed to sell a total of 12,640 units out of Sumo/ Safari/ Aria/ Venture contributed 2,879 units while Nano/ Indica/ Indigo provided figures of 9,761 units.
In the fiscal year, the manufacturer sold a total 1,07,187 units of Nano/ Indica/ Indigo while the company retailed 31,268 units of Sumo/Safari/ Aria/ Venture.
Moving to the commercial segment, Tata Motors sold a total of 33,356 nos which is constituted of 20,938 LCV units and 12,418 MHCV units.
Recently its been acknowledged that the automaker will launch its compact sedan Zest and hatchback Bolt in the month of June. Both Zest and Bolt will be made available in petrol and diesel fuel trims. The petrol model will get the company's latest development of Revotron engine- 1.2-litre, four-cylinder, intercooled, turbocharged, multi-point fuel injected (MPFI) motor.
