Tata Motors to launch entry level JLR cars
Tata Motors, one of the largest car makers in the Indian market, is mulling over to launch an array of luxury cars in the country through its British subsidiary Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) platform. The cars which will be launched in the Indian market include a roadster and a station wagon. These new cars will not only drive volumes for the company across markets, but also increase its foot prints globally.
Interestingly, the company is also developing three new variants of its cheapest and most popular car, Tata Nano that comprises of a 3-cylinder version, European and US version with enhanced features and also a diesel version. The company will also launch some US and UK bound versions of this car in the coming months. By adjudging the recent fire accidents concluded as a situational subject, Mr Tata said that the company has about 50,000 vehicles in the market and 4 or 5 of them catching fire does not indicate that there is a defect with the Nano.
Meanwhile the company has also indicated that it will be focusing on markets like Africa, Russia, China and the Middle East to boost its growth in the coming months. In addition to this, the company is also in the final preparation of the launch of its much anticipated crossover Tata Aria in the Indian market in the upcoming festive season.
