WagonR Think Big Challenge3 Young Turks Won by Maneesh Kumar Meena

Finally we have the winner for the WagonR Think Big Challenge Season3-Young Turks category. Maruti Suzuki India Limited handed over the title to Maneesh Kumar Meena, from the University of Rajasthan for his idea of starting a “Craft Mandi” online and as a physical store as well which will source handicrafts from the local craftsmen and help them sell their goods to the external markets.

He was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 1 Lakh and would also get an opportunity to compete in the zonal round of the mainline category where he would get a chance to compete for the WagonR, Rs. 10 Lakh and venture capital. The other ideas presented included, “Electronic-Writing Pad”, a compact, battery driven and cheap mode of writing, “Dadi's Veggie Mart” – business of selling vegetables in different areas in a smarter way.

The panel of judges comprised of Sameer Narula, founder of August Capital Partner, Abhik Ghosh, Co-Founder of AG Knowledge Tech and Shalil Gupta, Consulting and insight Director for IDC India. Maruti Suzuki provided the young students with a platform to learn how to transform ideas into feasible businesses.
