Weekly Wrap-Up: A Week of Launches; Hyundai i20 Active, Chevrolet 2015 Captiva and Mini Cooper S

This week we saw couple of new car launches in the form of Hyundai i20 Active, Chevrolet 2015 Captiva and Mini Cooper S. Hyundai in order to cash in i20’s popularity, has launched a beefed up version i20 Active at Rs 6.38 lac (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). The vehicle is based on carmaker’s last-year introduced Elite i20, and is pitched against the likes of Fiat Avventura, Toyota Etios Cross and Volkswagen Cross Polo. Hyundai’s first crossover gets an increased ground clearance of 190mm, roof rails, Glossy black finish C pillar, Side molding & cladding and rides on 16-inch alloy wheels.

Mini India too introduced its sportier Cooper S at Rs 34.65 lac (Ex-Showroom Pan India). The Cooper S variant is most powerful version of Cooper model and is only available in three-door lineup. More in the links below.

Hyundai India has launched its first ever crossover, the i20 Active at Rs 6.38 lac (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). The vehicle is based on carmaker’s last-year introduced Elite i20, and goes up against the likes of Fiat Avventura, Toyota Etios Cross and Volkswagen Cross Polo. Read More

Mini India Launches Cooper S at Rs 34.65 lac

Mini has launched Cooper S in India at Rs 34.65 lac (Ex-Showroom Pan India). The Cooper S variant is most powerful version of Copper model and is only available in three-door lineup. Mini Cooper S apart from minor cosmetic features red S badge in both the front and rear side, large air intakes and newly designed honeycomb front grille. The car will be sold in country en-route CBU (Completely Build Unit). Prior to this peppier launch, last year, the automaker had also launched the Cooper diesel in both three and five-door versions. Chevrolet Launches 2015 Captiva SUV at Rs 25.13 lac

In order to add fresh feel to its Captiva SUV, General Motors India, today launched the 2015 model of the premium Sports Utility Vehicle at Rs 25.13 lac. The car comes with manual transmission while the automatic transmission model is priced at Rs 27.36 Lac. Like the previous model, the SUV will offer both 4x2 and 4x4 (AWD) driving modes. Read More

Skoda launches Zeal Editions in Tamil Nadu

Skoda India has launched the Zeal Edition models in Tamil Nadu today. The Zeal Edition will be available for Superb, Octavia, Yeti and Rapid with new features and accessories. For Superb, Octavia and Yeti, the Zeal package brings new black interiors with black Alcantara leather seats, black dashboard and black door trims. The Rapid Zeal Edition gets leatherette and Alcantara seats, navigation device with rear view camera, rear Parktronics, observation mirror and Rapid branded floor textile mats. Read More

Hyundai India has finally launched the i20 Active at Rs 6.38 lac (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). The automaker has introduced five variants, three in diesel lineup and two in petrol.
