Year 2009 : So far so good for Indian Auto industry

Indian auto industry is performing well by keeping aside global trend. Many new models like Mahindra Xylo, Hyundai i20, Fiat Linea launched by leading auto makers in India are receiving good response In India. And the most awaited model Tata Nano launched date has been announced as 23rd march.

Mahindra Xylo recently launched by leading car manufacturer Mahindra Mahindra is performing very well in Indian market notwithstanding the global trend. At the other hand Leading car manufacturer Hyundai launched Hyundai i20 this year which is also becoming quite popular. Fiat India launched Fiat Linea this year which is quite successful so far.

At the other hand General Motors is also planning to launch a small size car by the end of this year. GM is also launching Chevrolet Cruze in the mid of year 2009. This model will be launched in the price range of Rs. 11.5 lakhs to Rs. 13 lakhs.

Car manufacturer Skoda is also planning to launch many new models in year 2009. Skoda will launch its very famous Yeti model in India very soon. Along with it Skoda is also planning to launch Skoda Fabia Combi and Skoda Superb

in year 2009.

In other Famous models which are expected to be launched in year 2009 are Honda Jazz, Maruti Ritz, Toyota Fortuner, BMW 7 series and new Mercedes E-class. All these models are gaining popularity even before their launch.

So it will be very interesting to see that how these upcoming models will perform and what impact they create on Indian auto sector growth.
