    Latest Update: The Mahindra Thar.e has been showcased in South Africa in a 5-door avatar. Patent images of the Mahindra Thar E have surfaced on the internet. We have also compared this electric version of the Thar with its 3-door ICE (internal combustion engine) counterpart in images. Watch what Mahindra's Design Chief has to say about the Thar.e concept. Mahindra could launch the Thar.e in India by 2026. Prices for the electric Thar could start from Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards.

    The Thar.e is expected to come with a 75kWh battery pack, mated to an which could deliver a range of over 400km. A dual-electric motor setup will be used, while 4WD (4-wheel drive) will be available as standard. The electric SUV could come with a big touchscreen system and a digital driver's display.
