Skoda Kylaq

Latest Update: Skoda has confirmed that its upcoming sub-4m SUV will be called the Skoda Kylaq.

Launch: It is expected to be launched in India by March 2025.

Price: The Skoda Kylaq is likely to be priced from Rs 8.50 lakh (ex-showroom).

Seating Capacity: It will seat up to 5 people.

Engine and Transmission: The Skoda subcompact SUV is expected to be powered by the bigger Slavia and Kushaq’s 1-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine (115 PS/178 Nm) with both 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Features: The features suite is likely to include a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a fully digital driver display, a single-pane sunroof, wireless phone charging, and ventilated front seats. 

Safety: Its safety net could get six airbags (as standard), a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control (ESC), a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and ISOFIX child seat mounts.

Rivals: The Skoda Kylaq SUV will directly rival the Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite. It will also compete with sub-4m crossovers like the Maruti Fronx and Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor.
