Latest Update: Tesla’s Model 3 has been spied fully camouflaged for the first time in India.
Tesla Model 3 Launch: It is expected to go on sale in early-2022.
Tesla Model 3 Price: Tesla could price the electric sedan from Rs 60 lakh onwards (ex-showroom).
Tesla Model 3 Battery, Electric Motor and Range: The US-spec Model 3 is offered with three electric powertrain options: Standard Plus, Long Range, and Performance. While the former gets a rear-wheel drivetrain and has a claimed range of 423km, the Long Range and Performance variants come with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup and deliver a claimed range of 568km and 507km respectively. The Performance variant, on the other hand, can do the 0-97kmph sprint in just 3.1 seconds with a top speed of 261kmph. Tesla could offer the India-spec Model 3 with the Standard Plus and Long Range variants at first while the Performance variant could be launched later.
Tesla Model 3 Features: Tesla has equipped the US-spec Model 3 with two wireless charging pads, a massive 15-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 12-way power-adjustable front seats with heated function, and a 14-speaker sound system along with autonomous driving features. It remains to be seen what all goodies Tesla offers with the India-spec model, but it is expected to be a feature-rich offering as it will be an import.
Tesla Model 3 Rivals: The Model 3 has no direct rivals but with an expected price of Rs 60 lakh, it will take on similarly priced sedans such as the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Audi A6, BMW 5 Series, and Volvo S90.
