Tata Safari Storme - Made for Conventional Driving
It was the time to update the car in our garage. Me and my dad was searching for a big-sized SUV which would fit into our budget and for that, we shortlisted two cars - Mahindra XUV500 and Tata Safari Storme. Though both are seven-seaters, the Tata Safari Storme impressed me for all the good reasons. I bought the new Storme that features the same conventional styling, well equipped inside with fantastic engine that delivers power in an impressive way. Tata introduced Safari Storme in 2012 and was revised in 2015. Driving since three years, the model comes across as a well-rounded package carrying handsome updates. The visible changes include new radiator grille, headlamps cluster featuring new projector lights with ?Polly Ellopsoid System? and air dam gets new design. Its rear part gets stylish looks thanks to the spoiler. The tail lamps cluster features turn indicators, halogen-based lamps, and brake lights. Interiors look awesome with java black color theme, new steering wheel and silver accents that has been provided on dashboard and door handles. The car features multi-function steering wheel, ultrasonic parking sensors that assist the driver and advanced CONNECTNEXT infotainment unit and Harman powered audio system. Tata Safari Storme sources its power from 2.2L VARICOR diesel mill that produces power of 150PS and peak torque of 320Nm. Another powertrain, the same which is working in my car is the 2.2L VARICOR400 that churns out 156PS and yields the torque of 400Nm. The car provides superb handling and engine refinement that translates into excellent drivability that munches rocks on the off-roads like a breeze. I have driven previous Safari as well but so far, this is the best Safari Tata has rolled out. However, Tata needs to update this car soon to keep up in the game as contemporary features such as touch-screen infotainment, automatic climate control, and multi-information display are still missing. But for people who love to be on the conventional style of driving, Tata Safari Storme can be a good choice.
