In the city, mileage is showing only 8 to 9 KMPL. With fully loaded features, the car is struggling to pick up while AC is on. Need to be very calculative while overtaking.

The engine is pathetic. You will not get a good pick-up during overtaking on the highways or picking up during high traffic conditions. You will feel tired engine if five passengers are sitting which includes the driver. Pathetic pulling power on highly road or highway. You have to change gear every time for it. Many people in India dream to own a Volkswagen polo instead of other hatchbacks but the main problem comes at service cost and spares i.e., maintenance that's the reason sales are very down comparing to other hatchbacks.

I have Polo 2018 model (1-litre MPI engine). Build and Quality of the car is top-notch. Riding quality is also very nice. But major concerns are pickup and mileage.
