- Voluptuous Luxury Car
People who are fond of voluptuous luxury along with spirited driving experience, then Rolls Royce Ghost, the new Series II version could be the right choice. Since three years I have been driving my dad's Rolls Royce Ghost Series II and I must say it's an ultimate combination of luxury and power. The exteriors of the car are crafted to stand throughout time. The zeal for dominance can be seen in the form of a signature badge on the bonnet and strong character lines across. Interiors are built to impress and opens up a world of comfort and luxury that is beyond fulfilling. The wooden, leather and metallic layering can be seen across the cabin. The car is technologically advanced in every aspect and provides well-refined cabin space possible in the hefty price tag. The gigantic 6.6L V12 engine can put every other car on the road to shame with the massive power of over 560 bhp and earth-shattering torque of 780Nm. And combined with 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox, it can easily touch the 100kmph mark from nil in just 5 seconds. For affluent people who do not see the price as a sensitive issue and want a car with immense power and lavish cabin comfort, Rolls Royce Ghost could be a good choice.Read More
Rolls-Royce Ghost 2009-2020 latest updates
Priced at Rs 4.7 crore, the Rolls-Royce Ghost is among the most affordable luxury cars in the Rolls-Royce range. But that doesn’t make it any less of a status symbol. If anything, it’s more expensive than the Mercedes S-Class and Bentley Flying Spur by about Rs 2 crore.
Rolls-Royce cars have always been meant to be chauffeur-driven but the Ghost is a more driver-centric model. It is powered by a 6.6-litre twin-turbocharged V12 petrol engine that pumps out 563bhp. Paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission, the Rolls Royce Ghost is capable of doing 0-100kmph in just 4.8 seconds. This, despite its 2.5 tonne weight.
The Rolls-Royce Ghost’s interior is different from the Phantom though it’s in no way less opulent than its bigger sibling. It’s swathed in premium leather and the finest wood veneer. Even the buttons are made of glass and not plastic! It also has BMW’s iDrive-based infotainment system comprising a 10.25-inch display and rotary controller with touchpad that’s slick and easy to use.
Buyers of the Rolls-Royce Ghost have an array of personalisation options to choose from – from special paint jobs, type of Spirit of Ecstasy bonnet ornament, colours and detailing to the leather, seat, veneer and more. But the most special of the lot is perhaps is the starlight rooflining, which creates a night sky like ambience inside the cabin using fibre-optic lights in the car’s ceiling.
