      If you want an off-roader that is basically indestructible, this is the car for you. It has a body on frame design and has proven itself throughout the years. It is available with both 4 and 6-litre engines. Once you shift it to 4WD L, the power is amazing and there isn't any road that it can't cross.

    Price and Variant: Toyota has launched the 2018 Land Cruiser Prado in India in a single variant, VXL, which is priced at Rs 92.60 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). 

    Engine and Transmission: The 2018 Prado is powered by a 3.0-litre diesel engine that makes 173PS of power and 410Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission. Being an off-roader, the Prado also gets a 4WD system that is coupled with crawl control (with five settings), Multi-Terrain Select, Multi-Terrain Monitor with four cameras and a Panoramic view monitor. 

    Safety and Other Features: The Prado facelift is equipped with 7 airbags, ABS with EBD and BA, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), tyre pressure monitoring system and angle sensor in intrusion sensor as standard. Other features on offer include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, electrically adjustable steering, 3-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, rear parking camera with sensors and heated front seats with active headrests.

    Competition: Like its predecessor, the Prado continues to rival likes of the Porsche Cayenne, Land Rover Discovery and the Mercedes-Benz GLS.
