- Hyundai i 10 a complete Hatchback
I purchased i 10 Magna model in 2010 and switched over to i10 from Tata Indica Petrol, which I used for almost 3 years. I drove i10 for almost 7.5 years before I went for S cross. Since, I was switching over to i10 from Indica, by all means this car gave me a great experience compared to Indica. Pros : Almost Nil break down maintenance, apart from regular routine services at regular intervals. The average costing was reasonably low between 2.5 k to 3 k. Engine remained intact ( I run for 1.5 Lac KM) and absolutely there was no issue. Though compact, offered good leg space. Smooth driving in the city roads and traffic. Excellent Pick up. Seats were quite comfortable though it is not a luxury car. Battery I replaced only twice in 7.5 years. Cons : A.C. had a problems for 3 to 4 times and at once I had to replace complete AC due to compressor failure after 7 years. Headlights were not powerful enough for Highway driving. Wipers did not have intermittent mode of operation, hence caused scratches to glass. Suspension quality was poor. Conclusion : Overall, a complete Hatchback car, very low maintenance, good milage, all the basic features one needs like A.C., heater, power steering, all four power windows and central locking system at affordable price and I would say, i10 model was a good car, which is now replaced with grand i 10 with much features.Read More
- Best City Driving Car
What to say and where to start. i10 is my first car, on which I have started learning driving in 2014. Best thing about the car is its Steering module. It is effortless and easy to drive even in heavy traffic or on highways. Due to its compact design and light steering it is very easy to drive in narrowest city roads and park any where. Next best thing about this car is its pickup on city roads. As it is powered with 1.2L Kappa petrol engine, driving on crowded city roads or near traffic signals would be lot easier. As the engine churns sufficient torq to pull. Even is the case on highways. We can easily touch 120 Kmph without much noise in the engine nor vibration. But ideal speed to experience a smooth drive would be 100 kmph. Coming to the comfort, as it is a hatch back it four people can travel comfortably. Five people would be difficult to travel long distances in this vehicle. Front seats are ok, but if provided with head rest it would have been a good option. Cushioning in the rear seat is just average. While travelling long distances on this would cause some discomfort. On the whole cushioning at the could have been a bit better. Coming to leg room as it is hatch model, we couldn't as for more. But if a couple of cms were added to the rear leg room it would have been lot better. As when the front seats are moved back ward, person with average height of 5'8" will also have slight discomfort. Coming to cons about this car are: Breaking. At higher speeds breaking seems to be slippery. So we need to be a bit more cautious while driving at higher speeds(greater than 100). For city driving it is ok, but breaking should have been improved a lot when driving at higher speeds. Next worst thing is the service. All the hyundai service centres are worst. They just wash our car and give us the bill. Spares are too expensive compared to other brands. Even if they are expensive, if the spares are of good quality and we can afford. Bu they are not worth that much price. If pricing is high they need to maintain some quality in their products too. Apart from the above 2 things breaking and service everything seems ok till date. Note: I am not an expert rider nor reviewer. These are only my views based on my driving experience.Read More
- Small but Packs A Punch
A little city car that has got plenty to live up to. Sharp looks and a sweet but old 1.1-litre engine is still the drivetrain in this car. It's all about quality here - the overriding impression you get from the i10 is one of refinement. This is a city car with a big car feel wind noise is well-suppressed, the engine note is muted and there's minimal tyre roar. It's so good that you wouldn't think twice about doing a long motorway journey in it. The build quality is superb, and the clean layout and modern look is a world beater, it's where the Hyundai really impresses one & all. It's also a practical car. Longer and wider than the last one, it's no surprise that the internal volume is impressive. The boot space is a decent size and four adults will easily manage long journeys in it. Just make sure they are not too, um, big-boned, otherwise the lack of torque and the long fifth gear will make any uphill sections hard work. The Hyundai i10 mileage is around 14 to 16 kmpl & after sales service should not be an issue with Hyundai having the 2nd best coverage in the country. Verdict: If you are on the lookout for a small car, that is trendy, fits a family of four, is zippy at the same time offer the comfort and luxury of a car that is one segment above, This is It...Read More
- Very good and managable family car
I own a hyundai i10 2010 model. Its been more than 6 years i am using this car, and till date other than regular servicing, I have spent only 20,000 on servicing (becuase of one minor acccident, which damaged ac condensor and radiators). The good thing with this car: Beautiful look, Nice interiors, Smooth gear shift, Decent mileage, No maintenance The reason for recommending this car is that it is very good for beginners, drive in city, small road trip and medium budget. I shall be happy to replace this car with another hyundai make car, may be Hyundai I10 grand or i20. Only recommended advice is to keep using this car and carry out regular servicing. The drive control is awesome, as i have tried other cars also like swift, dezire, ford fiesta but found this more comfortable.Read More
- My first Rendezvous with the stylish hatchback grand i10
Hyundai i10 has cool car the hatchback market in India since it's launch. I am quite satisfied with its performance. The entry level hatch i10 is decent in terms of comfort and looks and as far as the price point is concerned. I was very impressed with its dynamic looks and upmarket interiors with facilities of saftey feature for the driver and passenger. Hyundai i10, despite being a hatchback is quite spacious and we 3 fatty adults were able to fit in quite comfortably in the backseat. Being a car enthusiast, I can pretty well state that the car is fair in terms of ride quality and handling. Right from the first test drive till today, I can say it could easily give Maruti Swift, a run for their money. But there are some weak points. According to me, when it comes to power capability, an 1.1cc engine is not sufficient for six adult passengers, so a more powerful engine would be an added advantage.Read More
- Awesome hot hatch.
One of the best available hot hatches in India. Hyundai has been providing top quality cars for the best prices. My only concern is the mileage of the car, which drops to 9 KMPL while driving in the city. The looks of the car are aggressive. The interior provides comfort and usability. The location of the gear changer is just perfect, which makes changing gears easy. The hand reaches out straight to the gear shifter. Speedwise, I topped my car at about 160 beyond which I was scared to go. The pickup of the car is good and the gears are perfectly ratioed. The 1.1L Magna is perfect for everything. It has power windows and ORVMs, allowing me to adjust my mirrors from the inside of the car with a simple controller. The boot space available is enough for any long road trip that you might take in this car. It holds upto 3 large suitcases which was ideal for me. The seats are also comfortable allowing 3 passengers at the back seat. The air conditioning is quick which helps alot during summer.Read More
- Best car as a first car
The i10 has a large gaping air-dam, pulled-back headlamps, chrome-lined grill, integrated clear lens fog lamps. The bumpers have also been redesigned with a front grille to lend a more aggressive look. The interior of this car has been given a sophisticated look by giving chrome touches to the gear knobs and the door handles.Maximum gear usage provides optimum fuel efficiency thus this car has a shift indicator display. The audio and Bluetooth controls are placed on the steering wheel for ease and comfort of the driver.I am an Maruti fan. But after driving this vehicle, I feel the Hyundai is far far ahead of maruti in all respects.Hyundai i10 is pretty much sleek and stylish.Super refined engine, very efficient, very silent, very powerful engine from Hyundai.I am getting near about 15 kmpl with AC in the city. It's also comes with an Automatic transmission and sunroof which makes it a perfect car in this segment. Finally i love this carRead More
- Its nice just wish some more power with less body roll
I have i10 magna LPG and i can tell u its awesome and economic giving the price. I have done around 45000 km and still doing good. Some pickup problem in second gear but i cannot complain as 45000 km are all LPG. Fuel effeciency is not that good on petrol but still clock close to 15km/l on highways and 11km/l in city. In last 4 years changed brakes, clutch and exhaust which cost me around 40k. maximum speed i attained is around 150 after that it start making some kind of sound so I did not pushed much. I am not satisfied with braking and headlamps. They could be better. I don't felt so confident while braking. battery and tyres are good working till now for me. Servicing experience was descent. its just they don't provide LPG servicing in NCR so faced some problems. Handling and comfort is good. Gear is smooth and you will have a pleasant driving experience relative to other options in same range. After 4 years I cannot think a better car in this price bracket. If you are ok with little less mileage i10 is best car for u any dayRead More
