Hyundai Verna 2017-2020 Maintenance Cost

The car delivery experience was excellent. All the staff is very kind and generous. Talking about the car, it's just amazing. All the things I dreamt about my new car are there, whether it is comfort, features to engine performance with on an average ok mileage according to the type of car. Not only the car but also the first service was also very amazing. They provide us pick and drop service of the car on service day absolutely free. They charged nothing. Not taking much longer, I am 100 percent satisfied with the product as well as the service provided to us even after the product is being purchased. 

This car remains my all-time favourite. Especially the 2018 Verna. Hence after a lot of studies, I moved ahead to purchase the Verna 1.6 SX(o) anniversary edition diesel. I did test drives before I made the purchase. I read a lot of reviews that the breaks were not that effective. I too felt that on the test drive cars. However, on the 5th attempt, I was sent a 500 km driven diesel manual to test the breaks and I'm happy to say that they were sharp! I took the delivery of my car from FPL Hyundai (Chennai) on the 1st of November. I've driven about 2500 km and there were no bad experiences (Will cover that in a bit) till date. The car goes smooth. The handling is like no other Hyundai can give this. One of my key requirements is good mileage. I'm glad to report an average of about 19 in the city with normal traffic. I've driven a few highway test runs. On most of them, I used to set the cruise control to 100 km/h (only on the Highways). Trips to Hyderabad returned gave an average of 21.8 to 22.3 km/l. On a Goa trip, I touched 175 km//h (after the 1st service) and I still got an average of more than 20 km/pl which I think it's simply wow. Now coming to some of the interior parts, I feel the seats are a little too hard and don't provide ample under-thigh support. People of 6 feet tall, there isn't enough room for them to be seated in the rear. I really don't understand why Hyundai couldn't offer led headlights. While the halogen do the work but I always felt the LED's could have done a better job. It also looks a little odd since the day time running lamps are LED white, but the projector lamps are not. The halogen headlight does look a little unimpressive. But these are certainly not deal-breakers. Since it's probably the most expensive car in its segment. It surely lives up to the expectations. But definitely this car is awesome.

Front brake shoes, front router and gear damage only after a drive of twenty thousand km. Even when I get my car serviced at a time, not a value of money car.

I have driven Hyundai Verna 10000 km till date. Its a gem of a car. It has all you can get out of a vehicle. I own the diesel titanium plus version which provides 6 airbags and makes you feel secure. I am getting a mileage of 21 km/lit on highways after having completed 2nd service. cons are a beige interior which is difficult to maintain, an odd-sized spare wheel which has to be changed after driving few kms, no cupholders, etc. at the rear. I used to own a Swift VDI which I sold after having driven 1 lakh kms, not quite satisfied with it.

I brought Verna SX plus auto-shift model, the looks very gorgeous and styling looks also very good and engine performance 128 hp which give very good driving pleasure it can attain three-digit speed very fast and the cabin is so silenced up to 80 kmph but after that I can hear sounds of engine and air, the most important thing I like is cornering lights in nights at helping lot in curvy roads. The sunroof is also there but I am using very less because of our climate, AC is working flawlessly and music system very good with Apple CarPlay I am using it and most importantly the GPS navigation very accurate in turn by turn navigation but it needs an update. The Milage I am getting is 18 km in crushing mode at 80 to 90 mph .. but if we press more than 130 kmph the mileage drops to around 14 to 16, for 150 and 160 kmph the milage is 14 per liter. I have some issues with engine clusters mostly around 40 to 60 kmph speed but the service centre people can't find anything and they are not able to listen to those clusters (some noise from the engine at that speed). Some negatives are there are no ventilation seats, no Hyundai connect. no on-off button, no smart key access, no smart boot opening even they say it's a top-end model.

I wanted to buy a car which can impress me and my family every day. We shortlisted the car because it was the "real value for money". Features from the segment above like ventilated seats, cooled glove box, hands-free boot release are really useful in a country like India.I'll say that there are no cons at all. In my family, everyone is below 5'10 in height and everyone gets enough headroom and legroom which has been the cons of every review I have seen till now. Performance is really good, the pickup is smooth, mileage is 10kmpl in the city being the petrol automatic and 16kmpl on highways. The comfort level is good, nobody rolls, good thigh support, enough headroom, and legroom. I have just used the first free service till now so I can't tell you about the cost of service but the staff is really cooperative and ready to help 24*7 hours. I am happy that I bought this car. With all these features and comfort levels I'll say it is a bang for every penny I paid for it. I truly believe that this is a worthy sedan from a segment above.

Good quality, better refinement, better features and better ground clearance than the rivals like honda city and Suzuki Ciaz. Very easy to live with. Hyundai service is the best in all i have experienced. Only diesel automatic in the class. Engine is not so refined in low revs . Good pick up and suspension is better than before.
