2012 Skoda Superb facelift spotted

The facelift version of the Skoda’s flagship model Skoda Superb was recently spotted. The spy shots reveal minor changes made in the exteriors of the car with respect to the daytime running lights in the front as well as the rear of the car. The new Skoda Superb is expected to be launched in 2012. The 2012 Skoda Superb is practically camouflaged to make out the alterations made quite easily. However, the changes made include all-new bumper in the front and a flatter grille as well. The usual interior changes that come along with the face-lift could also be expected.

The outgoing Skoda Superb is offered in petrol and diesel options. The petrol variant is affixed with a 1.8 L 140 Bhp engine and the other option in petrol is a 3.6 L 260 Bhp, V6 FSI engine. The diesel variant has a 2 L 140 Bhp TDI engine under the hood. The new Skoda Superb is likely to come with the same 2 L common rail turbo diesel engine. With the new Skoda Superb launch, though Skoda India is not well-known for its after sales service, is likely to give the rival Honda Accord a good run for money. The upgraded Skoda Superb is considered to be the best in the class in all aspects.

Skoda has recently announced the top twenty solo finalists of the 2011 Skoda Prize contest held during the past year. The 20 finalists are the Indian artists who have seen the success in different points of their career from variety of fields. The finalists were chosen from 128 entries received from all over India, who will be given a chance to showcase their best piece of Indian contemporary art in the year 2010-2011. This will help the upcoming artists to share the limelight alongside the most celebrated ones.
