Nissan revealed the final production model of the 2013 Nissan Pathfinder Crossover, on its Facebook page. The Pathfinder Concept was displayed at the Detroit Motor Show in January followed by the Chicago Auto Show in February.
Since it based on the 2013 Infiniti JX platform, the mill is speculated to be 3.5-litres V6 which is capable of producing 265bhp at 4400rpm, instead of the 4.0-litre V6 engine. It is coupled with a CVT-Continuously Variable Transmission. The powertrain will be capable of producing a peak torque of 335.6Nm at 4400rpm.
The crossover will be a 7-seater with clear windows with grille finish. The grille finish might be offered in a chrome version, probably for the higher-end trims. The price and specifications are soon to be revealed.
Pathfinder is being manufactured by Nissan Motors since 1986. The 3rd generation of the SUV was revealed in 2005, next year would be bringing in the 4th generation of the SUV which is sure to be a complete New-Gen SUV.
The current version of the car is expected to be discontinued by the end of this year and be replaced by the new version based on a unibody platform. Now, while at the subject, an humble request to the Nissan officials, India could really use this Crossover SUV here... What say?
