The Delhi Motor Show will commence next week, beginning from the 5th of February and will open for the public from 7th onwards. This time the show is being held in Greater Noida and not at Pragati Maidan. Several new launches are happening this week at the show this year, and visit our Auto Expo page for more all the updates.

2014 Indian Auto Expo Application launched
Jaipur: The organizers of the 12th Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2014 have launched their first ever Multi-Platform Mobile application, for the event scheduled from February 7th – 11th, 2014 at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida. The mobile application is available for FREE on Android Market, Blackberry App World, Apple App Store and Windows Market. Read more

Volkswagen Polo and Vento sedan gets pricier
Volkswagen India has announced that it will increase the prices of its premium hatchback Polo and Vento sedan by 2.27 per cent. The new prices will be effective from February 1st, 2014. Rising cost of inputs and depreciating rupee value is the reason behind price hike. Read more

Ford to unveil Next Gen Figo at 2014 Auto Expo
Detroit based manufacturer - Ford is going to unveil its new global product during 2014 Auto Expo. According to the invite, the company plans to unveil a new compact car that will be based on their global design philosophy. However, the specifics haven’t been mentioned, but we presume that this would be the next gen Figo, going by the teaser image revealed by the company. The teaser image resembles their recently unveiled KA concept (Brazil). Read more
Ford India appoints Nigel Harris as its new President
Ford India today made the announcement of appointing Nigel Harris as its new 'President' who is scheduled to take on his new role starting 1st February 2014. Prior to this appointment, Nigel held the position of Vice President, Sales and Service, for Ford in the Asia Pacific Region. Till present, it was Joginder Singh who was instrumental in the company's swing in fortunes, especially in regards to the inception of the EcoSport into the Indian market, as he now taken on the role of Director, Corporate Strategy, Ford Motor Company. Toyota officially announces the showcase of Corolla Altis and Etios Cross at the Delhi Motor Show

Mercedes-Benz C-Class GRAND EDITION launched in India
Mercedes-Benz India is celebrating a milestone of developing 50,000th car at its manufacturing unit in Chakan, Pune. To mark this occasion, Eberhard Kern, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India rolled-out the new C-Class GRAND EDITION from its assembly line. Mercedes-Benz is the only luxury car manufacturer in India to achieve this milestone. The petrol version of the C-Class GRAND EDITION has been priced at Rs. 36.81 lakh, while the diesel version is tagged at Rs. 39.16 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune). Read more
Maruti Suzuki YL1 sedan could be named as Ciaz, to replace SX4 in India
Like other carmakers, Maruti Suzuki India, is involved in the final preparations for the upcoming 2014 Indian Auto Expo. We were the first to reveal that it will unveil its all-new sedan, codenamed as YL1 at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo, and now it is expected to be named as "Ciaz". This model will replace the SX4 sedan and is likely to be launched by the end of this year. Read more
Isuzu Motors future plans to get 60 dealerships by 2014
Isuzu will introduce a new pick-up truck at the upcoming Auto Expo in February. This will be a pick-up that will be placed between commercial vehicles segment and premium private pick-ups buyers. The company has just finalised the land for its new plant in Sri City in Andhra Pradesh and the company's this new plant as a joint venture with Mitsubishi, in a partnership ratio of 62:38. The plant will be ready by 2016 and it's initial plant production capacity will be 60,000 units. Soon, this capacity will be bumped up to 120,000 units. Read more
Isuzu Motors India holds grand ceremony for its new plant in Andhra Pradesh
Isuzu Motors India Private Limited, today held a ground breaking ceremony for its new manufacturing facility at Hyderabad.The plant will start functioning in 2016 in Sri City in Andhra Pradesh. As of the initial plans are concerned, the unit will produce 50,000units and it will further expand to 120,000 units. Isuzu has concerete plans to introduce such products which will be focused to cater different customers needs. As far as investment is concerned, the company has put in Rs 30 billion to raise this unit in India. In collaberation with Mitsubishi, the Japanese brand will bring brilliant products to India. Mitsubishi has been in India for years as a partner with Hindustan Motors and now the company will tie-up with Isuzu for production. Read more
Renault India could unveil Lodgy MPV at 2014 Auto Expo
The French automaker, Renault is expected to unveil the Lodgy MPV at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo. The company will also unveil the facelift version of Duster, Fluence and Koleos and an all-new concept car at the event. Earlier, it was speculated that Renault will not bring any new product in India this year. If media reports to be believed, it will unveil the Lodgy MPV at the show, which will compete against the likes of Nissan Evalia, Maruti Ertiga and others. Read more
